With only two days to go after today, I’m looking at reaching my 1,000^th follower by noon on the 10^th day of this challenge. To give myself a little extra push, I’ve added 200 followers from my 3 main sources of buzzom.com, twellow.com and twitterfollower.com. I spent a good hour on that today since I’m concerned with attracting quality followers so I wasn’t just blind following people, I paid good attention to people’s descriptions and made judgements based on people’s profile pictures and tweet history.

Today I also went back to twitter grader.com in the last few days I’ve gained over 350 followers and moved from 342,467 to 239,240 in the ranks and from 94/100 to 95.9/100 so it’s good to see the progress there and I look forward to moving up even higher once I hit 1,000.

Finally, I wanted to recommend 3 other tools today that I’ve found to be nice little additions to my twitter experience.

• Monitter – monitter.com follows the most important keywords in realtime and allows you to input your own customized keywords in 3 streams.
• Quitter – useqwitter.com a service that sends you an email you when someone has stopped following you.
• Geochirp – geochirp.com learn what people are tweeting about in your geographic location. You can toggle the search radius of local tweeters from 1 to 50 miles which is a great option for large cities and small rural locations.
